Days and days of peaceful protesters, joined by people who could not care less about George Floyd or racism or police brutality, but instead, wanted to take advantage of the protest by looting and damaging and firebombing businesses and public buildings. The protesters did not want to cease their protests and get out of the way so that the government could stop the violence against innocent people and the government. Instead, they wanted to continue protesting, knowingly harboring the violent elements of the mob from the police. Why is that? Is it because the protesters believed that the mob violence and destruction would aid them in their cause of ending racism and police brutality? That the violence and destruction would get the government to listen? If so, then the protesters are accomplices in the rioting, and are criminals themselves. Violence against innocent people in whatever form cannot be condoned. Accomplices in violence are just as much criminals as the three policemen who stood by and let police officer Derek Chauvin murder George Floyd.

The three police officer accomplices were involved in a crime that resulted in the death of a human being, and thus should be prosecuted for felony murder. That is established law. Similarly, the protesters do not have the right to utilize violence by others in their protests. If they do, they are accomplices, and with this, are just as much a part of the mob that the government wants to deter, jail, and punish -- their First Amendment right to peaceably assemble and protest does not exempt them from being accomplices to a crime. In order to not be an accomplice to the violent mob, protesters have to leave the area or they have to cease their protest that the violent mob will start infiltrating, as evidenced by acts of violence. If they don't, they are just as guilty as the three policemen that were accomplices in George Floyd's murder, and need to be detained and punished by the government right along with the actual perpetrators of the mob violence.

The protesters have been warned. Now, they need to do the right thing -- stop aiding and abetting the violent mob -- or be held responsible and accountable for their future actions or inactions.
